Production person note

Knight was a landscape painter and watercolorist who studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He joined the Royal Society of British Artists in 1875, and the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1881. He moved around considerably, living in Sevenoaks, Kent, in 1880, London in 1881, 1899, and 1907, West Drayton, Middlesex, in 1894, and Chorley Wood, Hertfordshire, in 1897 and 1902. He was a prolific exhibitor, showing works with Agnew and Sons Gallery; Royal Society of Arts, Birmingham; Dudley Gallery; Grosvenor Gallery; Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts; Goupil Gallery; International Society; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Leicester Gallery; Manchester City Art Gallery; New English Art Club; New Gallery; the Royal Academy; the Royal Cambrian Academy; and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
