Description

An 1855 French 10 centimes coin, overstamped. Bronze alloy, stamped both sides, with Napoleon III.

Overstamped by an advert for Frank Braham. Braham was the Postmaster at Tabernacle Square Post Office, and made machinery for perforating the initials of firms and others on all kinds of revenue and postage stamps as a safe-guard against theft. In the 1880s he was based at 51 Hoxton Square.
